[ADVICE]Software Legal Advisory
Technology Expertise in the Service of Legal Process Rigour. Software technology advisory for law firms, courts, and legal-technology vendors, anchored by direct court-case subject-matter expertise. {type}DEV bridges the gap between complex software systems and legal clarity.
#1. Introduction
{type}DEV provides specialist software forensic and technical advisory services for legal matters involving software systems, intellectual property, delivery disputes, and system failures.
Led by Werner van der Vyver, our legal advisory capability combines deep software engineering expertise with practical experience supporting legal teams in complex technical disputes. Werner acts as a technical advisor, software forensic investigator, independent expert, and analyst translating technical findings into legal context.
#2. The challenge
Software disputes are rarely straightforward:
- Systems are complex and poorly documented
- Responsibility is unclear
- Technical claims are difficult to validate
- Evidence is fragmented or incomplete
Without clear technical insight, legal arguments weaken.
#3. What we do
We translate complex software systems into clear, structured, and legally usable insight.
