The MIS Developer is responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining management
information systems and reports that support business operations and decision-making. This role
focuses on data analysis, report automation, and ensuring data accuracy, integrity, and
accessibility across the organization.
#1. Key Responsibilities
What you'll do
1. System & Report Development
• Design, develop, and maintain MIS reports, dashboards, and data models.
• Create automated reporting solutions using SQL, Excel, Power BI, or similar tools.
• Develop stored procedures, queries, and scripts to extract and transform data.
• Enhance existing systems for improved efficiency and functionality.
2. Data Management & Analysis
• Collect, validate, and analyze data from multiple sources.
• Ensure accuracy, consistency, and completeness of data.
• Perform data cleansing and transformation as needed.
• Generate insights to support strategic and operational decision-making.
3. Database Management
• Work with relational databases (e.g., SQL Server, MySQL, Oracle).
• Design and maintain database structures and relationships.
• Optimize queries and database performance.
4. Business Support
• Collaborate with business users to understand reporting requirements.
• Translate business needs into technical solutions.
• Provide timely, accurate reports to support business operations.
5. Automation & Process Improvement
• Automate repetitive reporting processes.
• Identify opportunities to improve data workflows and reporting efficiency.
• Implement best practices for data handling and reporting.
6. Documentation & Compliance
• Maintain proper documentation of systems, processes, and reports.
• Ensure compliance with data governance and security policies.
• Support audits by providing required data and reports.
#2. Qualifications & Experience
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in:
o Information Systems
o Computer Science
o Data Analytics
Experience:
• Minimum 4 years of experience in MIS development, data analysis, or a related role.
• Proven experience in developing reports and dashboards.
• Experience working with large datasets and multiple systems.
Technical Skills:
• Strong SQL skills (queries, joins, stored procedures).
• Advanced Microsoft Excel (Pivot Tables, Power Query, VBA preferred).
• Experience with BI tools (e.g., Power BI, Tableau).
• Knowledge of database systems (SQL Server, MySQL, Oracle).
• Familiarity with ETL processes.
• Programming/scripting knowledge (Python, VBA, or similar) is an advantage
